In a groundbreaking announcement, the highly anticipated film Kanguva, directed by Siva and featuring Suriya, is set to make history with a global release in an unprecedented 38 languages. Touted to be Siva’s magnum opus, the historical-fiction film will be released in both 3D and IMAX formats.

Producer K. E. Gnanavel Raja recently shared his ambitious goal of expanding the film’s marketing and distribution to new territories, thereby opening doors to unparalleled box office success and broader international reach for Tamil cinema. Gnanavel, in a recent interview with Behindwoods, said, “We are trying to cross many borders that have not been crossed by Tamil industry. If everything goes as per our plans, the film will make an unprecedented number and it would open more doors for Tamil cinema.”

The promos and poster of Kanguva have made a great impact on Suriya fans. The film aims to be a raw and rustic visual feast. The scale of the movie is massive as the makers seem to have invested a lot on VFX and CGI.

To ensure a grand global release, Studio Green, the production house behind Kanguva, has forged partnerships with top distribution houses. The film is slated for a worldwide release in early 2024.

Directed by Siva, Kanguva also stars Disha Patani in the lead role, with cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and a musical score by Devi Sri Prasad. Additional cast members are yet to be revealed.

As the countdown to the summer of 2024 begins, the team behind Kanguva plans to unveil more interesting facts and promos of the film. The movie marks the first pan-Indian attempt by Suriya.
