Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 officially announced: Nelson and Anirudh Ravichander bring the fun in fiery promo

In the announcement video, which was simultaneously screened in many theatres across the country, we see Nelson and Anirudh chilling in a beach house in Goa. The awesome twosome discuss about what to do next, and the conversation is the usual banter we have known them to have. It includes a dig at Anirudh’s never-ending lineup of releases, and how Nelson hasn’t done a film in five cyclones. And then, just as they decide to take a bigger chill pill, we see windows shattering, glass breaking, doors thrown away, and henchmen running for their life as the most famous silhouette of Indian cinema walks into the frame. And then… the “Hukum” number from Jailer, and Tiger takes over the video as we are primed to the announcement of Jailer 2.

Backed by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures, there have been no official announcements about the cast and crew of Jailer 2. Will it bring back Vijay Kartik Kannan who created magical frames for the film? Will the movie see the return of Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff? Will newer stars enter this galaxy?

With Jailer 2 going officially on floors, it means Rajinikanth is surely going to get back to the role he made memorable in 2023 after completing his portions for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. Just like Jailer, and in all probability, Jailer 2, Coolie is also a multi-starrer, which features actors like Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and if speculations are true, Aamir Khan.
