AR Muragadoss shares his excitement on hearing about Sivakarthikeyan’s baton scene with Vijay in GOAT: ‘I knew audiences would have a blast…’

In an interview, AR Murugadoss shared his excitement on learning about the sequence in GOAT. “Sivakarthikeyan told me about the scene immediately after the shoot wrapped. It made me really excited, and I knew audiences would have a blast with it in theatres,” he said. Murugadoss also praised Vijay for sportingly sharing such a front-loaded moment with a rising star like Sivakarthikeyan.

Madhaarasi is a high-octane action thriller featuring Sivarkarthikeyan, Vidyut Jamwal, Rukmini Vasanth and Biju Menon in the lead roles. During the interview with Baradwaj Rangan for Galatta Plus, the filmmaker opened up about casting Sivakarthikeyan in an action role. “After watching Amaran, I called up director Rajkumar Periasamy and told him that I am the one who has benefited from your film more than anyone. Siva will finally get an action hero image from now.”

Madhaarasi, which marks the first-ever collaboration between filmmaker AR Murugadoss and actor Sivakarthikeyan, features music by Anirudh Ravichander, editing by A. Sreekar Prasad, and cinematography by Sudeep Elamon. The film is slated for release on September 5.
