The first look of Sonakshi Sinha and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s special video was released last week. Although initially, it was reported that the duo are working together on an international number, it is now confirmed that the project is actually an eight-ten minute short film, where several of Singh’s new songs from his latest album will be incorporated. The short music film has been titled Superstar.
In the video, Sinha’s styling has been inspired by JLO. She will be seen wearing biker jackets, crop tops and denim shorts. The music video has been shot on a huge scale in the deserts and on the beaches of California. It also involves a high intensity car chase sequence and the entire short film has been shot by an international team.

Barkha Ritu starts off in Delhi

The annual National Thematic Music festival, Barkha Ritu, commenced last week and is currently in its 13th year. A favourite with music lovers who enjoy listening to melodious monsoon ragas, the first show of Barkha Ritu this year was held in Delhi. Pt. Shivkumar Sharma on the santoor and Pt. Channulal Mishra as the vocalist mesmerised the audience with a musical extravaganza. Barkha Ritu will travel to seven more cities in the coming months, and will include performances in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune among others. The festival aims at promoting India’s rich cultural heritage.
