Saif in trouble again

Saif Ali Khan was recently charged for manhandling a South African businessman Iqbal Sharma and his relative at Wasabi, a Japanese restaurant at Mumbai’s Taj Hotel on February 22, 2012. Apparently Khan has been charged under Section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The hearing in the case against the actor will begin from April 30.

 

Getting aggressive

Akshay Kumar’s bodyguard apparently got physical at an onlooker during the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gabbar recently. A doctor from New Delhi, who had come to watch the shooting, was trying to get closer to click some pictures of the actor. When he stepped into the shooting zone, he got into a spat with the bodyguard, and fell down when the latter pushed him. Taking offence, he lodged a police complaint against the bodyguard.

 

Security issues

Mehdi Imam, a security guard at the office of film-maker Sooraj Barjatya was found dead in the office premises recently. His decomposed body was found two days after he was reported missing. Another security guard Totan Biswas, who also works at the same place, was arrested after he confessed and allegedly told the police that in a drunken stupor, he went to Imam’s place and asked for his phone. When Imam refused, in a fit of rage, he strangled him and fled the scene.

 

Staff misfortune

The body of veteran actor Ranjeet’s driver of 30 years was found in his swimming pool recently. It is yet to be ascertained whether it was an accident or a case of suicide. Nagraj Gowda was found in the pool by the actor’s wife. He was declared dead at the hospital. The 44-year-old Gowda
was a diabetic and was also undergoing dialysis. His last rites was held in his hometown in Karnataka.
