Even as she shoots her Telugu film, the tall and striking Kriti Sanon is prepping for her next Hindi movie, Singh Is Bling with Akshay Kumar

Kriti Sanon is here to stay. The attractive actress who made her Hindi debut with the superhit Heropanti with Tiger Shroff is on to bigger things. After a successful modelling career Kriti who made her acting debut with Sukumar’s Telugu psychological thriller 1:Nenokkadine and subsequently made her Bollywood debut with Heropanti has caught the industry’s attention. “The love that I got with my first Hindi film was beyond my expectations. Coming from a non-film background and being accepted both by the audience and the industry is extremely overwhelming,” says Sanon.
The actor, in fact, has also caught the eye of the fashion world. She was spotted at the Lakme Fashion week where she was the showstopper at the newly launched UK based fashion label River Island’s autumn-winter collection on jabong.com. Dressed in a short silver skirt and top, the actress smiled as she talked about new projects that she has bagged. There’s the untitled Telugu youthful drama directed by Sudheer Varma of Swamy Ra Ra fame which took off in mid-July. And her co-star in the film is none other than Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya. “Yes, presently I am shooting for my Telugu film in Hyderabad,” she confirms.
About her second Hindi film, Singh Is Bling with Akshay Kumar she said that would most probably start by the end of the year as the actor was busy with his films and Prabhu Dheva, the film’s director was busy with Action Jackson. “Also I need time prepping because I am learning a few new dance forms for it. I cannot really disclose anything, except that it’s not like Bollywood or Western, but a very specific Western dance. And I need to learn it professionally starting from the basics. It’s a new experience for me because even though I have been dancing all my life in school and college the only dance I have learnt is Kathak and that was really long back. Now learning dance properly with all the techniques and postures is very new and exciting for me. The locations where the film will be shot is not being decided, but yes a major portion will be shot in Mumbai and the makers are also planning to shoot a lot abroad,” informed the actress.
As for walking the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week, Sanon is thrilled to walk for an international brand like River Island which has a new funky collection. “I am not a very fashion conscious person, but yes I have started thinking a little more about clothes now than I used to earlier. That’s because now what I wear is being noticed by people, unlike earlier when people never really bothered. But still I am not the kind who looks at someone and copy what they are wearing. For me it’s still about my comfort and my favourite wear is denims and a tee or a ganjee,” grinned the actress.
