Around 200 machineries from 100 textile machinery brands, including embroidery, were displayed at the exhibition.
An overwhelming response of over 39,000 buyers was recorded in the four-day exhibition of Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo SITME 2026, jointly organised by Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Surat Embroidery Association. SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi claims an investment of Rs. 850 crore is expected to be generated through such an exhibition in the next couple of months. The majority of the machines are imported from China.
The exhibition was organised at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana from 10am to 7pm on 9, 10, 11 and 12 January, 2026.
Around 200 machineries from 100 textile machinery brands, including embroidery, were displayed at the exhibition. Machinery ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 60 lakh was displayed at this exhibition. Around 60 exhibitors said they expect to receive orders for 28 to 30 machines in the next 1 to 2 months, after receiving assurance from buyers, says SGCCI president Nikhil Madrasi.
