Apart from shooting in some picturesque locations of UAE, Unforgettable, a romantic film depicting two love phases of the protagonist played by Iqbal Khan, was also filmed in the prestigious Sheikh Mohammed stables, considered to be one of the best in the world. In fact, for one particular sequence, not only was it shot in Godolphin Stable, one of the leading stables in the world, but also a high bred racing horse was part of the sequence. “It was a scene where someone asks Iqbal who plays a recluse, about his best friend and the scene shows him cuddling his only friend, his horse,” says producer and debutant director Arshad Yusuf Pathan, a NRI based in the UAE, who has earlier made international TV commercials.
In fact, according to Pathan they shot at properties that belong to the royal families and ministers of UAE. For instance, they filmed a sequence at a house of a minister in the Palm Jumeirah area. These places are not often given for shoots, and it was only because of Pathan’s association with them that they managed to shoot there.
“The stables are eye-catching and the horses which are priced over one million dirhams are some of the finest in the world. Interestingly, these horses that are not very friendly with strangers allowed Iqbal to hug them,” revealed the director.
Unforgettable released on June 13.
