Aahana Kumra’s dream debut

It was a dream come true for Aahana Kumra when director Anurag Kashyap asked her if she would like to do a television show. “I did not have the slightest idea that I would get to work with Amitabh Bachchan so early in my career,” raves the actor, who made her foray in acting by doing plays.
Mentored by Naseeruddin Shah while working on the indie film, The Blueberry Hunt, that is still to see the light of the day, Aahana considers herself fortunate to be part of a great team like Yudh.
The actor was in touch with Anurag Kashyap from a role in Bombay Velvet when he generally told her about this show and she ended up bagging the role. “It’s strange but there’s some strange connection with Anurag. I am doing a play – Sir Sir Sarla which is being directed by Makarand Deshpande that Anurag had done long ago,” recalls Aahana with the hope that she would keep getting work with the good people in the industry.
