Kannada, Telugu TV actor Pavithra Jayaram dies in road accident in Telangana

Actor Pavithra Jayaram, who rose to fame by portraying the role of Thilottama in the popular Telugu TV series Trinayani, passed away in a road accident in Telangana on Sunday. Pavithra died on the spot in the mishap that happened at Divitipally in Mahbubnagar district while she was returning from Bengaluru to Hyderabad, as reported by news agency ANI, quoting the police.

While passing through Divitipally, her car reportedly veered out of control and rammed the divider. Subsequently, a bus collided with the vehicle, resulting in her immediate demise and leaving her husband, actor Chandrakanth, cousin Apeksha and driver Srikanth seriously injured, according to IANS.

After the news of Pavithra’s untimely demise emerged, condolences have been pouring in from all quarters. Actor Sameeip Acharyaa mourned her passing and expressed his disbelief in his Instagram stories, stating, “Woke up to the news that you are no more. It’s unbelievable. My first on-screen mother, you will always be the special one.”

According to ANI, Pavithra embarked on her journey in the entertainment industry by playing a role in the Kannada television serial Jokali. In 2018, she made her debut in the Telugu TV industry with Ninne Pelladatha.

 

 

Meanwhile, in the wake of her tragic death, Pavithra’s final post on her Instagram account has gone viral. The post features a video of her dancing playfully with her husband and actor Chandrakanth, to the tune of the Kannada track “Puttamalli” from the movie Putnanja (1995).
