Vikram’s son Dhruv releases his debut short film, watch video

Responding to a question, recently at a promotional event, actor Vikram had revealed that his son is interested in entering the film industry but he was not sure in what capacity. Speculations were rife that the likes of Shankar and Bharathiraja were planning to cast Dhruv in their movies, given that he has inherited good looks from his star father.

While we may have to wait for a while before we see this promising star kid on screen, Dhruv has released his first short film online giving us a sneak peek at his many talents. Dhruv has released his film titled ‘Goodnight Charlie’ on YouTube. The film is a thriller that deals with the subject of child abuse within the family.

‘Goodnight Charlie’ is written and directed by Dhruv and is said to be his assignment for Met Film School, London, where he completed a six-month course in filmmaking. He is also reportedly planning to go to the US for further studies in filmmaking.

Earlier reports also claimed that Dhruv gave inputs to Vikram, while the latter was developing mannerisms for his much-appreciated character ‘Love’ in ‘Iru Mugan’. Looks like ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram doesn’t have to go too far to find a talented filmmaker for his future projects. He has got one in the house.

Meanwhile, his film ‘Iru Mugan’ is going strong at the Tamil Nadu box office. The film has been declared this year’s third biggest hit after ‘Kabali’ and ‘Theri’. the film is also the actor’s second biggest opening after director Shankar’s ‘I’, which was released in 2015.

It also gave him the much-needed break as his last outing ‘10 Endrathukulla’, which was directed by Vijay Milton, was a box office disaster.
