Singer Neha Bhasin, renowned for tracks like “Asalaam-e-Ishqum” from Gunday, “Jag Ghumeya” from Sultan and “Dhunki” from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, has opened up about her health struggles and personal battles. In a heartfelt social media post, the former Viva band member revealed her diagnoses of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder. While Fibromyalgia was confirmed two years ago, she admitted to long-standing suspicions about her overall health.
Bhasin began her Instagram post with a raw and honest expression of her turmoil: “I want to say a lot but I really don’t know where to even begin or how to consolidate the helpless hell I am experiencing. After Years of knowing something is off. Finally with more awareness medically today comes the Diagnosis (on paper since 2 years, I have known since I was 20 ) which helps get the right treatments for the mental and hormonal illnesses and with all of this comes major realisation and then THE acceptance that At least for now my nervous system feels broken..”
Neha Bhasin, who is a proponent of body positivity, in her post, detailed a range of symptoms including chronic fatigue, physical and emotional pain, anxiety, and cyclical bouts of depression. She also acknowledged past traumas, unhealthy eating habits, sleep disturbances, and the need for therapy as part of her journey.
The 41-year-old singer found solace in yoga, journaling, and exploring other healing modalities but admitted to frequent setbacks due to her health challenges. “My monthly PMDD still finds a way to throw me in an old dark hole or dig many new ones. Is this my failure? Asks my OCPD.. Flares up what my DR calls Fibromylgia which now I am finally ACCEPTING too.. I have worked out. Danced, performed through pain for years thinking am just tight so stretch more. Mt therapist says for sometime do NOTHING. REST,” Bhasin confessed.

I neither write this as a victim nor a Victor. I just write as that seems as the most comforting thing to do. Sending everyone love,” Bhasin, who is married to Sameer Uddain, captioned the post.
Her post garnered an outpouring of support from fans and peers alike, including Sushant Divgikar who offered unwavering encouragement and friendship. “My didi you are and have always been one of the nicest humans I have ever met and have had the pleasure of meeting.
