When Diljit Dosanjh met Justin Bieber in a lift: ‘Didn’t ask for a pic because if he had said no…’

The singer said that at first, he failed to recognise Justin and thought a kid was impersonating him: “We met while we both were at the airport in Dubai. So one child was following me, and there were people behind him. As we had to enter the lift and make way towards the first class lounge. So I kept pressing the elevator buttons so that no one could enter after me, but he anyway entered. So I turned back and saw him, and I wondered if he resembles Justin Bieber.”

Diljit then mimicked Justin’s accent and revealed that it was Justin who spoke to him in the lift.

“Suddenly he (Justin) goes, ‘Nice pant, big guy.’ And I was like, oh this is the real deal. And that was it, I did not even ask for a photograph, because I thought what if he says no? I would be heartbroken,” Diljit finished his story as he left host Kapil Sharma and the audience in splits.

Besides being a popular singer, Diljit Dosanjh is also a well-known actor, who made his debut in Bollywood with the acclaimed feature Udta Punjab as a corrupt cop. He will next be seen in the Imtiaz Ali directorial Chamkila, which is a biopic of singer Amar Singh Chamkila.
