When actor and BJP MP Hema Malini met Babul Supriyo, erstwhile singer and current Union Minister of State for Urban development, they bonded over Hindi film music history. In 1973, Malini, in her Dreamgirl days, had lent her voice for two songs composed by Kishore Kumar for an album in Bengali.

When Supriyo was told about this, he took the initiative of recreating the songs, now to be re-released by Saregama in a new album, produced by Gramophone Co. The new album will have an additional new track, a duet sung by Malini and Supriyo.
