Ahead of his India visit, GOT7’s Jackson Wang teams up with Diljit Dosanjh for new single, dropping on May 9
Jackson Wang is returning to India, this time with a surprise collab with Diljit Dosanjh on a new single BUCK.

K-pop star Jackson Wang, whose love for India is no secret, is making a trip back to the country after his 2023 Lollapalooza performance. This time, however, his visit is set to be on an even larger scale. The GOT7 member has reportedly and secretly teamed up with India’s renowned Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. According to an India Today report, the two globally acclaimed Asian artists have collaborated on a new single titled “BUCK,” and here’s everything you need to know about it.

The Hong Kong-born rapper had been teasing his new music for a while, with only some visual glimpses on his social media as updates. Back in February, speaking to ELLE magazine, the Just Right crooner opened up about his second trip to India on May 10th. During the same conversation, he hinted at collaborating with an Indian artiste, though he didn’t reveal the name, promising it would truly blow Indian Ahgases’ (GOT7 fandom) minds with excitement. The new single titled BUCK is scheduled to be released on May 9th, a day before his Mumbai visit, where he will personally promote the track. So far, the backstory of this collaboration remains under wraps, but knowing Jackson and his storytelling talent, we’re sure he has something up his sleeve to make the big reveal himself.
According to the source, speaking to the outlet, the collaboration began after both artists expressed mutual interest in working together. Diljit has an impressive list of international collaborations in his discography, including a song titled Palpita with Colombian artist Camilo, and his most viral collaboration on the track Hass Hass with Australian singer Sia. He has also worked with American rapper Saweetie on Khutti and even teamed up with Ed Sheeran on stage during his India concert.
During his last visit to India, the Magicman was spotted goofing around on the streets of Mumbai, hopping into a Victoria buggy with actor Disha Patani and trying out local food. He also spent time with Hrithik Roshan and his family. This time, though, he’s reportedly planning to stay a little longer. While headlining the musical festival, the singer addressed his Indian fans and said, “Namaste, this is Jackson Wang, this is Magic Man.” He continued, “I have been wanting to come to India forever. I’ve been asking, ‘When can I go?’ for 4-5 years, and finally, yes! We’re very blessed to be performing here tonight. I hope you guys enjoy tonight like there’s no tomorrow.”
Currently, GOT7 is touring Thailand for their NESTFEST 2025 at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok. This marks the group’s long-awaited comeback to the stadium scene after nearly 6 years. The K-pop group debuted in 2014 under JYP Entertainment and includes members Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom.
