Vijay Deverakonda’s comment about Liger’s failure cracks up Dulquer Salmaan: ‘I hope your action film goes better than mine’
While Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of the Malayalam action thriller King of Kotha, Vijay Deverakonda's romantic comedy Kushi will hit the screens in the first week of September.

The strong camaraderie between actors Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda is famous. Now, as they prepare for the release of their respective movies, King of Kotha and Kushi, the young stars engaged in a conversation as part of their promotional endeavours.
YouTube channel Filmy Hook recently unveiled a promotional video of the candid interview, where the two actors are engaged in cheerful discussions while also extending their best wishes for the projects.
In the course of the chat, Vijay also made a jest regarding the failure of his movie Liger, although he refrained from explicitly mentioning the film’s title.
The conversation kicks off with Vijay pointing out that Dulquer is returning after a love story (Sita Ramam) and is currently getting ready for an action-packed movie (King of Kotha). In response, Dulquer commented by observing that Vijay is taking the opposite route, shifting to a romantic story (Kushi) after an action film (Liger).
“I hope your action film goes better than mine,” Vijay quipped, causing Dulquer to burst into laughter. “I hope your love story blows up like mine,” Dulquer responded. In the promo video, Vijay can also be seen asking DQ if there will be a sequel to King of Kotha.
Helmed by veteran filmmaker Joshiy’s son Abhilash Joshiy, who is making his directorial debut with the movie, King of Kotha is a period gangster film and will hit theatres on August 24 as an Onam release.
Kushi, on the other hand, is directed by Shiva Nirvana, known for crafting blockbusters like Ninnu Kori and Majili, and is set to be released on September 1. The film also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
