Sreenivasan on his equation with Mohanlal: ‘It has never been great’

When asked what is his take on Mohanlal, Sreenivasan quipped, “He is a complete actor.” In 2012, Sreenivasan acted in a film titled Padmasree Bharat Dr. Saroj Kumar, which had subtle digs at Mohanlal. The movie even mocked the actor’s honorary position of lieutenant colonel conferred by the Territorial Army of India. When asked if acting in the film didn’t affect his relationship with Mohanlal, the actor said, “Even otherwise our relationship was not that great (laughs out).”

When asked what was the issues between him and Mohanlal, Sreenivasan said, “There were plenty. I have openly called out his hypocrisies. I want to write all these before I die.” Despite the criticism, Sreenivasan will be teaming up with Mohanlal in a film that would come out next year.

In the interview, Sreenivasan also opened up about his equation with Mammootty. He was quoted as saying, “Once I went to see Mammootty wearing a new sunglass at the night. He stared at me for a while as if I were a competitor to him. He then beckoned me to his room and opened a box containing 17 sunglasses. It was as if he was threatening me not to dare to outsmart him. (laughs)”
