Marco leaked on piracy websites: Unni Mukundan pleads with fans to watch Malayalam hit in theatres, says he’s feeling ‘helpless’

The film’s total collection stands at Rs 42.15 crore India nett. Marco made more on its second Wednesday than Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, which is losing shows across India. The Unni Mukundan-starrer has also become the highest-earning A-rated Malayalam film, surpassing Dulquer Salmaan’s Kammatipaadam.

Amid the film’s success, the makers faced a setback after the film leaked online. Unni Mukundan took to his official Instagram account to share a “helpless” note, requesting his fans to not watch the pirated version. His note read: “Please don’t watch pirated movies. We are helpless. I am feeling helpless. Only YOU can stop this. By not watching/downloading the films online. It’s a request.”

The actor received the support of his fans. A fan commented, “Marco is a true theater experience like no other. This original leak is really sad, I hope people watch it in the cinemas instead of the leaked copy.” Another fan wrote, “I watch full movie in theater bgm screen play I am obsessed.”

The film is reportedly accessible for free on torrent sites such as 1TamilMV, and TamilBlasters. Marco’s Tamil version will release in theatres on January 3.
