Dileesh Pothan and Ranjan Pramod join hands for the thriller O.Baby, promise ‘heart-pumping action’

Whatever the connection he has with a particular movie, there is a certain amount of trust Malayalees have when it comes to the name Dileesh Pothan. One reason behind this might be that all three films he directed to date are undisputed gems, while another reason is that the flicks he produced too attracted widespread acclaim for all the good reasons. Even if his role is just of an actor in a substandard movie, viewers are now sure that Pothan would do his part well.

It is at a time like this that the director-turned-actor and producer announced his latest acting venture. Titled O.Baby, the film is helmed by writer-filmmaker Ranjan Pramod and bankrolled by Pothan and Abhishek Sashidharan. Starring Raghunath Paleri, Athulya, Haniya Nafisa, Saji Soman and Shinu Syamalan among others, the first look poster of the film, which the makers released recently, promises a thrilling experience.

“Stay tuned for heart-pumping action and emotional twists as we bring this thrilling story to life,” the crew said while releasing the poster on Instagram.

Ranjan Pramod, who kicked off his film career as a screenwriter, has so far directed three films — Photographer (2006), Rose Guitarinaal (2013), and Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu (2017). He has also penned scripts for superhit movies such as Meesa Madhavan (2002), Manassinakkare (2003), Achuvinte Amma (2005), Naran (2005) and Ennum Eppozhum (2015).

Pothan was last seen donning the actor’s hat in the film Christopher directed by B Unnikrishnan, while his final production venture was Saheed Arafath’s Thankam.
