Tom Hiddleston reveals his favourite improvised scene from MCU

Tom Hiddleston, who plays the Norse god Loki in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), revealed it was the famous 'get help' scene in the film that he likes the most.

Thor: Ragnarok’s dialogues were said to be mostly improvised

English actor Tom Hiddleston has opened up about his favourite improvised scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). And it doesn’t come as a surprise that the scene is from Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. While speaking at ACE Comic-Con, Hiddleston, who plays the Norse god Loki, revealed it was the famous ‘get help’ scene in the film that he likes the most.

Thor: Ragnarok is considered as one of the funniest movies in the MCU. It is also credited for reinventing Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and making the character interesting again. It was said that most of the film’s dialogues were improvised much like other Waititi films What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople. This improvisation gave an authentic feel to the film’s humour.

According to Cinemablend, Hiddleston said, “I think that the one that’s kind of had its own life after the film is ‘Get help.’ We literally just came up with it on the day. As something, this idea that this is a trick that Thor and Loki used to, you know, they used to use it as a game when they were kids and they stopped doing it a long time ago, but it used to work and it might just work this time. They got one last ace up their sleeve. And the idea that Loki hated it, and he just was like, ‘I don’t want to do it. It’s humiliating.’ And that Thor was like, ‘You’re going to love it! Come on!’ in a big brother way. And then it works. In that moment, I always love the fact that it wasn’t just a funny moment, but actually, you understand something deeper about them as brothers, and I think those moments are really special.”

The ‘get help’ scene was how Thor and Loki escaped the guards of the Grandmaster. Thor yelled “Get help!” to the guards while Loki pretended to be unconscious. Thor then threw Loki to the unsuspecting guards, knocking them down.
