Corey Hawkins to join ‘Kong: Skull Island’ cast

“Straight Outta Compton” actor Corey Hawkins is in talks to re-team with Legendary Pictures, for its “King Kong” prequel, “Kong: Skull Island”.

“Straight Outta Compton” actor Corey Hawkins is in talks to re-team with Legendary Pictures, for its “King Kong” prequel, “Kong: Skull Island”.

The character Hawkins, 26, will play, is still not revealed but the actor will join Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson who are already on-board, reported Variety.

To be directed by “The Kings of Summer” helmer, Jordan Vogt-Roberts the plot of the film is still under works.

Max Borenstein, John Gatins and Dan Gilroy have penned the script featuring origin story of Kong, with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Mary Parent producing it.
