Actor Gaurav Chopra had quite a successful stint as Raghavendra Rathore in Uttaran on Colors. However, the actor, who in the last four years, has made eight comebacks on the show, shall bid farewell, as he wants to reinvent himself now.
“The ‘actual’ reason to leave the show is that there is ‘no’ reason,” quips Chopra, who unlike other male actors in the industry, is happy that his character hasn’t been altered or diluted in all these years. “That is what normally happens with all positive characters on TV. There’s great mutual respect and collaborative satisfaction between me and FilmFarm, the production house. But it’s been four years and I feel that I need to come out of my comfort zone,” says the actor, who wants to take a break, and plans to travel, read and recharge his batteries. “Hopefully, I shall be back with a bigger announcement,” he concludes.
