Why is Amitabh Bachchan jealous of Dhanush?

Raanjhanaa opened to mixed reviews last Friday but the south actor Dhanush has been praised for his debut performance.

Indian Express’ critic Shubra Gupta also wrote in her review that it was Dhanush’s “playfulness and intensity” which works well for the movie.

“Dhanush,making his Bollywood debut,exhibits consistently is what keeps the film ticking. His complete surrender to the role leads to the kind of unselfconsciousness that is so absent in Bollywood newbies who try playing lovers: if you want to show me your perfect abs,how will you let yourself screw up your face while crying for your mehbooba? And that is what makes Dhanush,who is familiar to north Indian audience only through the chartbuster Kolaveri Di,so believable,” she wrote.

Big B was all praise for the Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush starrer on twitter as well: “Loved the premise,the execution the performance,and the UP atmosphere. Wishing it all success!”

Raanjhanaa has hit bullseye at the box office and earned over Rs 20 crore in the first three days of its release.

Big B also added that he’s looking forward to watching some unreleased films given to him by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. One of the films on Amitabh’s wish list is Farhan Akhtar’s Fukrey. Big B revealed he is especially looking forward to watching Gangs of Wasseypur actress,Richa Chadda’s performance in the film.

“She was so good in Gangs Of Wasseypur and I believe has done very good work in Fukrey too,” posted Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in Prakash Jha’s upcoming political film,Satyagraha,which also stars Ajay Devgn,Kareena Kapoor,Arjun Rampal,Manoj Bajpayee,Amrita Rao and Vipin Sharma. The film is slated to release on August 23.
