Students,friends and family of Anand Jon seek justice

Students of DU held a candle light march to Jantar Mantar demanding an unbiased trial for Anand Jon.

Students of Delhi University held a candle light march to Jantar Mantar on Tuesday evening,demanding an unbiased trial for the designer Anand Jon who has been in jail in US for nearly two years now.

Around 300 students and young professionals and community members from their native state Kerala marched to Jantar Mantar demanding Justice. Among others,family members,friends of Anand Jon participated in this protest rally. The march was lead by students of Faculty of Law,University of Delhi.

Anand Jon’s mother,Shashi Ebraham,said “Most of the plaintiffs have changed their statements in court,more than once and the court has not received any concrete evidence against Anand Jon. Further,he has been kept in a small 6 feet X 4 feet cell,which is against the human rights of the victim Anand Jon. We have petitioned to various NGOs,Human Rights Groups and even the Government in USA and India; but all has lead to no positive response. Where should I go now?”

Interestingly,the charges were made on him when he was just 15 days away from making a deal with Wall Street worth millions of dollars for the launch of his high-end designer brand ‘AJ’.

Jon has come out clean in the lie detector polygraph test,while none of the plaintiff models have gone through the lie detection polygraph test.

The family members and friends of Anand Jon in USA plan to meet President Barack Obama to seek intervention into this gross Human Rights Violation.
