Rohit Shetty to make an action comedy for Tusshar Kapoor

Finally,Tusshar Kapoor would have a spoken dialogue to his credit in a Rohit Shetty directed affair. The filmmaker,who has given Tusshar three hits in ‘Golmaal’ series,albeit without giving his lead a single dialogue to mouth,is all set to direct an action comedy with him next. A three hero film,it would also feature a senior superstar and another younger hero,the hunt for which is currently on.

Tusshar and Rohit have been in talks to make a film together for quite some time. Obviously they have a fantastic tuning since the days of ‘Golmaal’. At that time Rohit was just starting off while Tusshar was fairly established. Once the film had turned successful,there were feelers sent to Rohit for ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum’ as well. However,the director had politely declined then and had instead begun work on ‘All The Best’, said a source.

Post that,it was time for ‘Golmaal 3’ and Tusshar reminded Rohit again about their agreement to work on a film again. However,the director was turning busier than before with every passing month and was just embarking on ‘Singham’. Now immediately after the super-success of the film,Rohit has moved on to ‘Bol Bachchan’. Since ‘Golmaal 4’ is still at least a couple of years away,there is empty space available for Rohit which could result in this action comedy being accommodated.

On contacted,Tusshar didn’t deny the news piece and confirmed that the film was certainly on.

In fact we had signed Rohit to do a film for us during the Golmaal days itself. Professionally we get along very well. Though personally we may not be in touch on a daily basis,it is simply fun when we are on the sets, said Tusshar.

It could well be time for Tusshar and Rohit to greet each other all over again on the sets of this action comedy which is currently going through casting process.

The subject requires a senior hero like an Ajay Devgn or a Salman Khan to head the cast with me and another younger hero joining in. Also,the film would be big since Rohit is someone who always thinks big. For him,films have to boast of big sets,lot of glamour,immense cool quotient,the works,you know,said Tusshar.

The moment we get the right names,we would be ready to make a formal announcement. But yes,the film is definitely in the pipeline, he said.
