R&B superstar Rihanna's penchant for tattoos is well known.

R&B superstar Rihanna’s penchant for tattoos is well known and the singer says that her inkings are not merely decorative but serve as a constant reminder to look on the bright side of life.

The star has spent 2010 bouncing back from her turbulent assault at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and as added many tattoos to her body over the year.

Her latest inking reads “Never a failure,always a lesson.”

And Rihanna,who is currently in London launching the Rock in Rio Madrid’ music festival,says her new body art acts an inspiration.

“My new one says lesson’ and is kind of my mantra to life,just a reminder. My life is just a crazy rollercoaster every day and whenever I read that it just reassures me,” said Rihanna.

After the infamous assault episode,the 22-year-old has sucessfuly launched her third studio album ‘R for Rated’.
