The climax scene of Besharam was an action sequence shot over 20 days in a shed in Mumbai’s Byculla area. It was a fight between Jaaved Jaaferi who plays the quintessential bad guy,and Ranbir Kapoor who plays a car thief and their respective gangs. Directed by action director Sham Kaushal the sequence incorporated one on one punching, action performed on cable wires and jumping from heights. While Jaaferi has been a part of many action sequences,it was Kapoor’s first attempt at hardcore action. “The action sequence typically belongs to the bygone era where the villain and hero fought it out. Ranbir was doing hardcore fights for the first time but being an athlete,he runs very well and he’s extremely agile, which helped him in his action sequences in the film,” said Jaaferi.

Jaaferi was also taken aback with Ranbir’s focus and concentration, and recalls an interesting anecdote during an action sequence. “There was this particular scene which was shot in parts. Half of the scene was shot on the third day of the shoot whereas the rest was shot on the seventh day. It was Ranbir who pointed out that I should have a gun in my hand, something which neither me nor the ADs remembered,” said the actor. Besharam is directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and is presented by Reliance Entertainment. It releases on October 2.
