No sequel to RA.One as of now

Despite the films phenomenal performance at the box-office SRK may not make a sequel.

Shah Rukh Khan had many reasons to glow on his birthday last week. For one,his Diwali release RA.One had broken all box-office records and secondly he got a good,long sleep after months. He was touched by the fans and the media who had turned up to wish him and of course,the sight of several gifts lining his bed when he woke up late in the day! Some people at the airport were the first ones to wish me,then it was family and friends,and the media that never fails to turn up on my birthday year after year. I am really touched and overwhelmed, he dimpled,saying that the best gift he got this year was the eight hours of sound sleep,and of course the birthday card made by his daughter,Suhana.

Khan was not worried about the mixed response to RA.One. It was made with a lot of love and sincerity. That I managed to make something different gives me a high. It doesnt bother me that some did not like my film. It was discussed so much that it will be remembered for a long time, he said with a smile.

Commenting on the comparisons between the opening box-office figures of RA.One,Aamir Khans 3 Idiots and Salman Khans Bodyguard,he said that it was demeaning to compare films of three actors. We have to go beyond and see each actors body of work. We cannot compare one with the other as each has a different personality. And everything about our films is different,from subject to promotions to posters.

As for a sequel to RA.One,he said that nothing was in the pipeline. First I need a good rest. A project like RA.One can be very draining.

Shah Rukh buys i1 Super Series Mumbai Franchisee

Shah Rukh Khan along with KKR partners,the Mehta Group,became the Mumbai franchise owners for the all-new motor-sport racing league i1 Super Series. An initiative by Machdar Motorsports,SRKs involvement with the i1 Super Series is a boost for the championship that commences January 2012.

The highly anticipated Series,charted on the popular city-based franchisee format,will have nine teams representing different cities from the country with each team having an Indian and an International driver per car,marking a new dimension to Indian Motor-sports.
