Meryl Streep wanted to be a lawyer

Meryl Streep revealed that she wanted to pursue legal career.

Hollywood legend Meryl Streep has revealed that sleeping through her law entrance landed her in showbiz.

The acclaimed star,who has 16 Academy Award nods,winning two,and 25 Golden Globe nominations,winning seven,to her credit,revealed she did not intend to pursue acting full time and wanted to pursue a legal career,Showbizspy.com reported.

“I loved it,but I thought it was frivolous,” the Daily Telegraph quoted the Oscar winner as saying.

“I remember thinking,”OK this is stupid. Oh yeah,you’re going to be an actress,sure. I’m going to do something serious with my life. I’m going to be an environmental lawyer”.

“Then I slept through the law school admission test,so I took it as a sign from heaven to stay in drama school,” she added.
