JDIFT organizes JD Annual Design Awards

The garments designed by the students were based on the theme of ‘Transform’. To design the collection the students seek inspiration from the art,culture & couture from Austria,Greece,Iceland & Ireland. They observed & absorbed all things foreign from these countries & then fuse them seamlessly with all things Indian.

The collection designed by the students reflected the new trends the young designers will be offering to the Indian Fashion Industry in the near future.

The student designers also presented retro line of collections which was done in collabration with the movie“One upon a Time in Mumbai”. The students will also present their retro make over line at various cineplexes all over India which will be a one week activity.

Speaking on the occasion,RC Dalal- Director of the JD Institute of Fashion Technolgy said,“The theme was an idea to tell the designers to look beyond the regular & the students have done full justise to the theme”.

International female models like Mariam,Rossane,Polina,Alinie,Kate,Katya,Anastaria,Marie,Neena,Leena,Nadya etc & male models like Lalit,Nitin,Puneet,Prateek,Deepak,Karan,Jimmy,Syush,Sunit,Pankaj,Himanshu etc showcased the trendsetting designs by the students at the do.
