HC stays Adnan’s arrest for one more day

The Bombay High Court adjourned the hearing of singer Adnan Sami's anticipatory bail application till Tuesday.

The Bombay High Court adjourned the hearing of singer Adnan Sami’s anticipatory bail application till Tuesday.

Justice Mrudula Bhatkar also extended the interim protection from arrest,granted to Sami,by a day.

Sami and his parents moved sessions court last week after his wife Saba Galadari filed a complaint of harassment,intimidation and blackmailing against them in suburban Oshiwara police station.

On May 22,sessions court granted anticipatory bail to his parents,but rejected his bail application. The lower court,however,granted him protection from arrest for three days,so that he could move High Court.

High Court had to defer the case today as sessions court’s order was not available.

Court has asked the investigating officer in the case to remain present with case papers on Tuesday.
