Action film is scary and challenging,says Sameera Reddy

Sameera,who had taken bike training lessons for 'Tezz',injured herself while performing a stunt.

Actress Sameera Reddy who has jumped into the bandwagon of action films with ‘Tezz’,has some daredevil stunts in the Priyadarshan directed film and she says it was scary and challenging.

Besides actors like Ajay Devgn,Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan doing action sequences in the film,Sameera also had to perform some of them.

“I must say action is not at all easy. It is scary. It is all the more challenging. Also for this film,I was to ride bike. When I had signed the film,I was like… I will do it but at the time of performing a bike scene,I sort of gave up…I felt I can’t do this. But it happened eventually and I wonder how I did it,” Sameera said in an interview.

The high-fi action sequences in the film are directed by Gareth Milne and Peter Pedrero,who were also behind the stunts in films like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘The Bourne Identity’.

If there is action in a film,there are bound to be cuts and bruises. And Sameera,who had taken bike training lessons for ‘Tezz’,injured herself while performing a stunt.

“I must say the safety measures that they took for me were commendable,” she said.

Besides action sequences,the film was also in the news over an item number – ‘Laila’ performed by Mallika Sherawat.

Reportedly,three names had cropped up for this item song – Mallika Sherawat,Sameera Reddy and Jiah Khan. It was producer Ratan Jain who was keen on casting Mallika instead of Sameera for the song.

‘Tezz’ also featuring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal,releases on April 27.
