Sushmita Sen suffered heart attack when in Jaipur for Aarya 3 shoot, didn’t tell her co-actors: Vikas Kumar

Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen suffered a heart attack while she was in Jaipur, Rajasthan, for the shoot of the third season of her hit Disney Plus Hotstar series, Aarya, revealed her co-actor Vikas Kumar. Sushmita revealed about suffering a heart attack through an Instagram post on March 2. Not just her fans, even her Aarya co-actors came to know about her surviving heart attack through social media only.

In a new interview, actor Vikas Kumar, who essays the role of ACP Khan, shared that even Sushmita was not aware that it was a heart attack until a few tests were conducted, He told News18 that a few scenes of Aarya 3 need to be shot in Jaipur, where she suffered the heart attack. “Unfortunately, Sushmita Sen suffered a heart attack. We didn’t know at first about it. Ultimately in a couple of days, we got to know, as she revealed it to the world.”

Sushmita had shared on Instagram that she got an angioplasty done and got a stent put in her heart. In her post, the 47-year-old actor thanked people who came to her aid in her time of need.

Vikas Kumar shared that the team of Aarya didn’t know about her health condition until she revealed it on Instagram. He said that the Main Hoon Na star didn’t want to “create noise” about her health, hence she decided to reveal it herself.

“In the beginning, even she didn’t know what happened. Tests were done and all. She finally came to know that it was a heart attack, and that’s when she shared it on Instagram. Till then, none of us, actors, knew about it. That’s how it should be because otherwise, it becomes noise. She didn’t want it that way. She wanted to tell the world herself,” Kumar shared.

After sharing the news about her heart attack on Instagram, Sushmita Sen conducted an Instagram Live for her anxious fans. She thanked her family, her doctors, and those who stood by her. The actor spoke about what happened, and said, “I survived a very big heart attack. It was very big. 95 percent blockage in the main artery. It was a phase and it passed. It doesn’t put fear in my heart.”

Now, Sushmita is back to routine. She has been paying attention to her fitness and has been sharing videos of her workout session on social media. The actor is also ‘looking forward’ to getting back on the set of Aarya 3.
