A few weeks after father Dharmendra’s death, Sunny Deol made his first public appearance at his upcoming film Border 2’s teaser launch in Mumbai, on Tuesday. At the event, the actor, who recently suffered the major personal loss, got emotional while delivering a dialogue from their highly-anticipated war drama. There was no media interaction during the teaser launch.

During his appearance at the event, Sunny was seen arriving in a jeep at the teaser launch, instantly setting the tone of their upcoming film. The Gadar actor was visibly emotional and teary-eyed as he was saying one of the dialogues from the film, in his own style and loud voice. He said, “Awaaz kahan tak jaani chahiye? Lahore tak (your voice should go till Lahore).”

Talking about the patriotism shown in Border 2 and how the GenZs will perceive it, Sunny said, “Desh humaari maa hai (the country is our mother), the younger generation will have the same feeling. They will protect it, like their fathers and grandfathers did. That energy will remain the same, this country is our home. If anything happens to it, it boils our blood.”

Sunny had even blasted paps for invasion of privacy during the sensitive moment.
