Previously, in a podcast with Himanshu Mehta, Paresh Rawal confirmed his return and said, “I believe that when people have loved something so much, then you have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility towards the audience. The audience has given you so much adulation. You can’t take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko (film) do. So, I was of the opinion that sab saath mein aayein, mehnat karein, Aur kuch nahin. It is all resolved now.”

In another interview with NDTV, Paresh Rawal shared that he has returned Rs 11 lakh along with 15% interest to Akshay Kumar’s production house.

What was the controversy about?

After announcing their return with Hera Pheri 3, Paresh Rawal made headlines when he suddenly decided to walk out of the film. Reports suggested that he had creative differences with the filmmaker Priyadarshan. However, the actor denied these reports, calling the filmmaker his dear friend. Later, news of Akshay Kumar (also the producer of the film) filing a case against him surfaced online, which was confirmed by the actor during the trailer launch event of Housefull 5. Paresh Rawal too took to his social media handle to claim that his lawyers are at it and will fight lawfully. However, it seems like the makers have now resolved the issue.
