Suniel Shetty reacts to Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3: ‘I have no clue about this…This is absolutely shocking’

He doubled down on being aloof about Paresh Rawal’s exit and said, “I have no clue about this. This is absolutely shocking. I first thought about texting him, and then I thought I’d meet him and discuss it. I have had no word about it with anybody. Even Akshay is clueless as to what happened.” Suniel Shetty still seems to be taking this news much better than Akshay Kumar, who has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Paresh Rawal for leaving the project midway. No matter what the film means to any of the actors, Kumar definitely has more to lose if the project does not do well because he is also a producer of the film.

While initial reports suggested that Paresh Rawal quit Hera Pheri 3 due to ‘creative differences’ with director Priyadarshan, the actor clarified via social media that this is not the case and said, “I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENTS WITH THE FILM MAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr Priyadarshan, the film director.” He explained his reason for leaving while talking to Mid-Day and admitted that he “did not feel like doing this role”.

Rawal has expressed his reservation about the role of Baburao on previous occasions as well, comparing the character to a “Gale ka Fanda” and talking about how it bottlenecked him in the industry. Even director Priyadarshan admitted to HT City that he had no knowledge of the actor’s intentions and said, “I don’t know why this happened because Paresh didn’t inform us. Before starting the film, Akshay asked me to check with both Paresh and Suniel, and I did, and both were onboard.”
