Sooraj Pancholi, the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zareena Wahab, made his debut in the movies in 2015 with Salman Khan-produced Hero but his career as a leading man never took off. Sooraj was recently acquitted from Jiah Khan’s suicide case and in a new interview, the actor shared that the media played up his father’s bad-boy image to make him look a certain way, although that never impacted the court proceedings.
Sooraj shared that he does not agree with how his father made decisions in his life but he has forgiven him as he believes that “everyone makes mistakes”. “My father has a certain image, a bad boy, a person who has done many wrong things. I don’t agree with it, of course. He is my father, I love him no matter what. I don’t agree with the way he has handled things in his life but, in a way I have forgiven him because I know that I am his only support in life,” Sooraj shared with Siddharth Kannan.
The Hero actor said that he and his father don’t talk much but their method of communication is sharing a look and smile with each other. “I share a look with him in the evening when I sit with him, that’s it. We don’t talk much. Till today, we don’t talk much,” he shared and added, “I give him a nice tight hug, he stands up, gives me a hug, that is all we do and that is enough for him and enough for me.”
In 2013, Aditya Pancholi was booked for assaulting a neighbour. In 2019, Aditya was booked for raping an actor.
