Even as Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan is all set to hit the big screens this Eid, his last release Shaitaan is running successfully in cinemas. The film will soon complete a month in theatres, after debuting on March 8. The supernatural thriller film, also starring R Madhavan and Jyothika, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark globally.

Shaitaan, helmed by Vikas Bahl, opened to mixed reviews by film critics and raked in Rs 14.75  crore on its opening day. It earned Rs 60 lakh on day 25 (April 1), and stayed afloat even after facing competition from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon’s Crew, and the Hollywood hit film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to X on Monday to share an overview of the film’s business in India. He wrote, “#Shaitaan inches closer to ₹ 150 cr mark… Has yet another eventful weekend, despite #Crew and #GodzillaXKong invading the marketplace,” and shared the film’s week-wise nett business. Take a look:

Ajay will next be seen in sports drama film Maidaan, based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, under whose leadership the Indian football team won the Asian games in 1951 and 1962. The film is scheduled to release on Eid (April 10) and will clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F.
