Shah Rukh Khan bought a laptop for Aamir Khan in 1996, Aamir didn’t open it for five years: ‘Technology and I are so far remote’

Speaking at an event, Aamir had said, “Technology and I are so far remote. I will tell you one joke. Shah Rukh Khan and I were in 1996, we were doing a show together in the USA and UK and Shah Rukh was into technology, even at that time, he was up-to-date and all that.”

He continued, “Woh time par ek naya computer aaya tha Toshiba and he told me ki mein le raha hu and it’s the latest computer. He said I think you should also take this computer and I had never used a computer in my life toh I said mujhe kya zaroorat hai computer ki toh he said nahi, tu samaj nahi raha hai, ismein tu office daal, yeh daal woh daal mereko bahot samjhaya usne toh I said jo tu lega apne liye, wahi tu mere liye lele. (There was a new computer which was launched at that time and SRK told me that he is buying that computer. He insisted I buy it as well and I said whatever you buy, buy that for me also)

Aamir said that he did not use the laptop at all and added that after five years his manager asked his permission to use it. The actor allowed him to use the laptop, but he revealed that the laptop did not start.

He said, “Uss laptop ko 5 saal ke baad mera ek naya manager aaya toh usne bola that sir aapka ek laptop main dekhta hu hamesha pada rehta hai, can I use it and I said please use it and he opened it and woh on hee nahi hua.” (After five years, my manager asked if he could use it and when he opened it, it did not start).” 

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have not featured together in a movie yet. They only made a cameo appearance together in Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial debut Pehla Nasha. The 1993 thriller starred Deepak Tijori, Pooja Bhatt, Raveena Tandon and Paresh Rawal.

Meanwhile, Aamir, last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, hasn’t announced his next film yet. SRK, who was last seen in the blockbuster hit Pathaan, will next be seen in Jawan. The film will hit the theaters on September 7.
