Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is ready to stick to his creative choices even if it means everyone will disagree with him. The actor on Monday attended the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and revealed how people were apprehensive about his selection of a particular song for the film.
The song “Naiyo Lagda” from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, featuring Salman and Pooja Hegde, was met with diverse reactions on the internet. While a section appreciated the song’s simplistic melody by composer Himesh Reshammiya, others trolled it for its unusual dance moves, which was likened to doing lunges at the gym.
Salman Khan said he was called names for deciding to approve the song but he believed in it from day one. “Everyone was against me for the song. ‘He has lost the plot, this is an 80s-90s track, how is it going to do well, he has become arrogant.’ I was like, ‘No, I like it.’ This is my film; I’m using the song in it.

“And it’s not like if it didn’t work, you could come and interfere for the next film. You won’t get any such opportunity. So please chill. As long as the director likes it, heroine likes it and the hero likes the song… So we used it,” he added.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will mark Salman Khan’s return to the big screen in a full-fledged role since his 2019 release Dabangg 3. He featured in an extended appearance in Antim and Pathaan, while his 2021 release Radhe released on ZEE5.
Salman said his break from the big screen has been unusually long but he will change that by releasing films “every six months”. The actor will be next seen in the third installment of Yash Raj Films’ spy actioner Tiger. He’s rumoured to start a Sooraj Barjatya directorial after wrapping up Tiger 3.
Also starring Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is scheduled to release during Eid on April 21.
