Actor Sonakshi Sinha made her film debut with Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg, in 2010, and in a recent interview, when she was asked to explain what makes Salman one of the biggest superstars of the country, Sonakshi said that he has found a way to connect with the audience. Sonakshi has worked with Salman in multiple movies, and she said that while Salman is quite “carefree” at work, he is also extremely “committed.” She admitted that it was a “paradox” and a “weird phenomenon.”

Talking to Raj Shamani on his YouTube channel, Sonakshi spoke about the enduring popularity of stars like Salman, and said, “I think it’s a basic connect with their audience that these guys especially have been able to make. And it does come with a lot of commitment to what you are doing. They have been able to crack that… this is what my audience loves about me and that is my strength and I am just going to play on that. And that’s what they have done for like so many years, which is why people love them.”

Speaking specifically about Salman, Sonakshi said, “He is very carefree but he is also very committed. It’s a paradox, it’s a full contradiction. I don’t know how to explain it because I have seen him and its like he doesn’t care about the little things.” Sonakshi said that Salman does what he feels. For instance, he will cycle to work if he wants, arrive at whatever time he feels is convenient, have his meals whenever. She said, “He’s just so carefree. He does exactly what he wants to do on his time but he is also so committed to his work, it’s very strange.”
