Rohit Shetty says Ajay Devgn starrer Singham was shot in less than five months, reveals his team worked for 20 hours a day
Rohit Shetty revealed the reason behind giving his 'team' a credit alongside his name in Singham.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is all set to make his digital debut with the upcoming drama Indian Police Force. The filmmaker, known for action hits like the Singham series, said that the 2011 film Singham, with Ajay Devgn, was completed in four and a half months. Rohit credited his hardworking team, working 20-hour days, for making it possible.
In a conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Rohit explained why he used ‘By Rohit Shetty and team’ at the end of the film. He said, “We all worked together. Singham was completed in 4.5 months and we used to work for 20 hours in a day. That will not happen alone with my work and dedication, we need a team like that. Same team is with me till today and they never complained when they had to work for more than 20 hours. So that’s why I felt it is important to give them the credit.”
Rohit Shetty recalled that after Golmaal 3, they were all set for Bol Bachchan and Chennai Express. However, he got a feeling of cheating audiences by making back-to-back comedy films and hence wanted to do something else. When one of the writers of Bol Bachchan took a break, he spoke to Ajay Devgn and the duo agreed on making a film together.

He said, “‘I told Ajay sir, ‘We will make this film in your four-month gap and release it.’ He said, ‘Are you sure? How can we do it in four months?’ We started shooting for the film on 4th March and we released it on 22nd July. We shot this film in Goa and Mumbai.”
Ajay Devgn’s Bajirao Singham will soon be seen again in Rohit’s Singham Again. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
