Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif show invites at Ayodhya Ram Mandir before getting entry; Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth sit in first row. Watch

The celebrations in Ayodhya began on January 16 and will culminate with the installation of the Ram Lalla idol in the grand temple.

It is a packed starry afternoon as celebrities across the Indian film industries have assembled in Ayodhya for Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif among others are in attendance for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

Amitabh Bachchan was seen arriving at Ram Mandir, with his son Abhishek Bachchan keeping his hand gently on his back as they made their way through their seats. Once they reached the designated spots, Amitabh Bachchan was seen greeting the guests present with folded hands. He also met Arun Govil who was seated close to him in the front row.

Rajinikanth was seen interacting with a volunteer before he took his front row seat, presumably in the same row as the Bachchans. He also interacted with Anil Ambani before he was seated. Also seen in another video were Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, engrossed in deep conversation.

In another video, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were seen sitting together, with the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani star holding his hands. They were seen sitting with Akash Ambani and wife Shloka. Seated right behind them were couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkumar Hirani next to them. Madhuri Dixit and husband Sriram Nene were seating behind them.

Before entering the high-security venue, the celebs were asked to show their invites. A video captures the event as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif etc show a white paper to the security staff before entering the Ram Mandir premises. Netizens applauded the security arrangement and also how celebs carried their invites and followed the security protocols.

Actor Kangana Ranaut was also seen at the ceremony. She posted a video on her Instagram, where she was seen chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and jumping with joy as flower petals were showered from the helicopter.

Apart from actors and filmmakers, several Bollywood singers are also present at the ceremony. Singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan, of Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Anuradha Paudwal, Sonu Nigam sang Ram Bhajan ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. “Recently PM Modi said that he likes one of the Bhajans composed by me. It is a beautiful feeling, and I am very happy to be present here. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the Temple for the first time,” Anu Malik told ANI from Ram Mandir.

Over 7,000 people are on the invitee list of the temple trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, including politicians, Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, industrialists, and more. The celebrations in Ayodhya began on January 16 and will culminate with the installation of the Ram Lalla idol in the grand temple.

The Ram mandir is spread over 70 acres and will be open to the public after Prime Minister Narendra Modi does the pran pratishtha on Monday.
