Ram Gopal Varma announces new film Syndicate as he ‘vows to wash away his cinema sins’ since Satya, calls it his ‘biggest film ever’
Ram Gopal Varma recently shared that Syndicate would be his biggest film to date, focusing on the theme, "Only man can be the most terrifying animal."

Days after making waves on social media by admitting that he lost focus and betrayed those who trusted in him after the success of his iconic films Satya and Rangeela, legendary filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has announced his next project, Syndicate, which will explore “a terrifying organisation which threatens the very existence of India.”
In a lengthy note on social media, RGV shared that Syndicate would be his biggest film to date, focusing on the theme, “Only man can be the most terrifying animal.” “Unlike the organisations of the past, this new organisation joins forces from various groups including policing agencies, politicos, ultra-rich businessmen and also the military thus making it a Syndicate,” he noted.
The filmmaker continued, “Syndicate is a futuristic story not set in the far away future, but what can happen even tomorrow or next week… For example, the entire world woke up to Al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001, but did not know its existence even on September 10. Syndicate will be a very scary film not due to any supernatural elements, but because it will scarily expose, what horrors human beings can do.”

Promising to redeem “all my cinema sins” committed in recent years with just Syndicate, RGV confirmed that the film’s cast and further details will be disclosed shortly. “The film will deeply dwell into the cyclical nature of crime and terror proving that while we have our victories the dark truth is that crime and terror never die,” the filmmaker, considered one of the most influential figures in cinema since the ’90s, added. He also wrote, “I took a vow to wash away all my cinema sins that I committed over the past few years with this just one single film called SYNDICATE.”
