Priyanka Chopra said ‘she fell on her butt’ on the red carpet but paparazzi refused to click photos: ‘Never happened in my career of 23 years’

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas walked the red carpet of the premiere of her latest romantic drama, Love Again in New York in a ‘bleached denim dress’. As lovely as the actor looked in her dress, her experience of walking in that dress was not as lovely. She fell while walking on the red carpet. But the ‘nice’ thing was none of the photographers capture a picture or a video of her falling.

Priyanka, during her appearance on the talk show The View shared how she was ‘mortified’ when she fell on her butt on the red carpet, but then she witnessed something she had never seen before in her career. She shared, “I haven’t talked about this because I try and look for this thing every day on social media. But, I was wearing really high heels in this dress for it to look as tall as it did and you know, red carpet is full of press people, everyone is clicking pictures, fans. And, I fell on the carpet, on my shoes, I fell down all the way on my butt.”

But, none no picture or video of PeeCee falling surfaced on the internet ever because none of the photographers captured the moment. “I have never seen this happen in my 23 years of career, everyone put their cameras down and said ‘Don’t worry about it Pri, take your time’. I was mortified for a second, but when I saw people do that — they said, ‘You’re always so nice, we got this’ — I stood up. And till now, there is no clip of me falling.”

However, it took Priyanka five people to get up and also her husband Nick Jonas who “swooped in” the moment she fell. When one of the anchors joked that if she had fallen in that dress it would have taken a “hydraulic lift to get me back up,” Priyanka said to her also it felt like that, “It really did, it felt like that.”

Priyanka’s film Love Again, also starring Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, was released in the US theaters on May 5. The film hasn’t received a good response from the audience. It received a ‘rotten’ rating of 19% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes and earned a ‘B’ on CinemaScore.
