Year 2016 will see superstars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan play wrestlers in Dangal and Sultan respectively. While fans have been wondering how similar both films would be, given that it is about wrestling, Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao told Indian Express that Dangal will be a totally different film compared to Sultan. Kiran also negated talks of shoot locations for both films being one and the same.
Talking to The Indian Express.com, Kiran said, “The locations are not quite the same. I know that Akshay Kumar had shot Singh is Bling in the locations that we are now filming in but not Sultan.”

Kiran also classified Dangal as a film based on women’s empowerment more than being a sports oriented drama. “Technically speaking, Dangal isn’t really a sports film. It is not as much a sports film as much as it is about women’s empowerment. It is one of the touching stories that I have ever read. And if Nitesh makes it the way he has written it, it would make for a worthy watch.”
The talented producer also sounded confident about both Dangal and Sultan doing well. “Audience will be interested in both (Sultan & Dangal) as there is enough space for every film in our country,” said Kiran.
