Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut recently appeared on reality show Indian Idol 15 to promote her upcoming film Emergency. During the episode, Kangana discussed her work and was asked if she would ever feature in a Dharma Productions film, considering the ongoing cold war between her and Karan Johar. Kangana replied that K Jo should actually work in her directorial instead. The actor-filmmaker said that she would offer him a ‘very good role’ in her movie.

In a promo video released on Sony TV’s X account, Kangana said, “I’m sorry to say, but Karan sir ko mere saath movie karna chahiye (should do a movie with me). I’ll give him a very good role, and I’ll make a very good film, which will not be saas-bahu ki chuglibaazi and which will not be just, you know, PR exercise. It will be a proper film, and he’ll get a proper role.”

For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar have a long history, especially after their 2017 Koffee with Karan episode, when Kangana called the filmmaker the ‘flagbearer of nepotism.’ She had appeared on the episode of KWK season 5 with her Rangoon co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. Since that time, the two have taken several indirect digs at each other on social media.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her upcoming film Emergency, which is set to hit theatres on January 17. The political drama is based on the 1975 Emergency imposed in the country by the then-PM Indira Gandhi. It also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman, among others.
