Jackie Shroff reveals why there are no rumours of him ‘messing around outside marriage’, says wife Ayesha ‘has trusted me for years’

Actor Jackie Shroff has been one of the most popular faces of Hindi cinema during the 1980s and 1990s. He has worked with the leading ladies of Bollywood like Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Tina Munim and many others. But, throughout his career, he never got linked with any of his female co-stars. Also, as per Jackie, his wife Ayesha Shroff trusted him blindly even when he used to go for outdoor shoots. She was always confident he will ‘come back to home only’.

Shroff, in a recent interview, maintained that he was always friends with his female co-stars and had immense respect for them, He told Lehren, “I am friendly with Amrita (Singh), Dimple (Kapadia), Tina (Munim) ji is there, Juhi Chawla, Meenakshi Shehshadri, when we meet, we chat properly, they love me and I love them. I respect them. But I only go out with Danny. He is my close friend. Sometimes with Anil (Kapoor) too.”

Pestered about why he never had any link-up rumours, Shroff jokingly apologised. He also revealed why his wife never had doubts about him. “She knows me in and out now. She has trusted me going out for years with the best of the leading ladies in our industry. Sometimes we are in Ooty, Kashmir. She has never asked. She would never bother. She would not call up and check. She knows he has gone out working, he will come back home,” the Hero actor shared.

Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Shroff got married on June 5, 1987. They have two children together–daughter Krishna Shroff and a son-actor Tiger Shroff. While Tiger is an actor now, Krishna is into martial arts and fitness.
