Amitabh Bachchan has been long associated with Indian television’s most celebrated quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. On Monday, the actor, who hosts the show, celebrated the show completing 23 years of going on air. KBC first aired on television on July 3, 2000. The actor wished for the show to stay relevant and grow in the coming years.

Sharing a poster of the show from the time when it aired on Star Plus, senior Bachchan wrote on his blog, “Greetings for KBC completing glorious 23 years since its first start on July 3, 2000 .. more glory .. 🌟 a lot of time has passed and a lot of affection and love attained .. I pray for its relevance .. for its presence .. for its opportunity .. for just what it is .. and more .”

But amid this hope, Big B also fears ‘disappointment’ as he added, “And the GOJ .. the apprehension .. the fear of disappointment .. and just .. well .. JUST ..head down step by step , to the door ..”

Amitabh Bachchan celebrates 23 years of KBC.

He shared several pictures from his latest Sunday darshan with his fans at his Mumbai home Jalsa and wrote, “and back to the promise of a meet .. and the joy of their love and appreciation and the undeserved ‘guru dakshina’ ..no no no … NOOOOOO .. no guru , yes dakshina .. no not dakshina .. just the giving .. giving away .. the give in its desired situation the joy of its give ..I shall .. and shall continue to do so .. ”

The actor also posted a video on Instagram where fans can be seen swarming his house to get a glimpse of their favourite star. In the video, the fans can be heard chanting, “Amitabh Bachchan ki jai.” He captioned the video, “My gracious love .. ever .. for your affection ! Every Sunday since 1982 .. !!!”

Amitabh Bachchan will soon be returning as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is coming with its fifteenth season. Registrations for the show kickstarted in April. As per sources, the shoot for the show will begin by this month and it will hit screens by August.
