Fanaa turns 17: Kajol says she shot for a song in chiffon in freezing Poland while Aamir Khan had a thick jacket on, the song was scrapped later

Sharing how they shot in a freezing Poland where Aamir got himself a thick jacket to keep himself warm in the freezing weather. Kajol, on the other hand, had to shoot in chiffon salwar kameez. She shared, “Poland was -27 degrees centigrade on the first day of shoot and I was wearing a thin chiffon salwar kameez on a frozen lake with the wind chill factor aside… #AamirKhan on the other hand had bought himself a nice thick jacket from the local market just for the shoot 🙄🙄🙄🙄.”

Kajol then shared how she was bemused when the song that they shot in Poland was scrapped and they had to re-shoot it in Mumbai, and. “So his face did not have the natural pain that was there on my frozen face!! And the cherry on top of the whole scenario was that the whole song was scrapped and RESHOT when we got back to Mumbai!! 🙏 Can we all just salute women and heroines all over the world who do these things and much worse just to look good! #17YearsOfFanaa ✨,” Kajol concluded.

Kajol played a visually challenged Kashmiri woman in Fanaa, which was produced by Aditya and Yash Chopra. On the film’s 15th anniversary, Aamir had shared how he always had Kajol in mind to play Zoonie.

He had said, “When I heard the script for the first time, I said there is only one person I can see in the role of Zooni and that is Kajol. But there is only one problem, if she will do the film, I might not be in it. And then I said if she gets to know I am a part of the film, she will say no.” He added, “I never thought we will ever get down to work together. It seemed impossible because we both have a different style of acting.”

The film had earned around Rs 102.84 crore at the worldwide box office. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Kirron Kher, Tabu and Sharat Saxena in supporting roles.
